About the Solar Battery Backup Calculator Pakistan

Free Pakistani solar battery backup sizing calculator built around how Pakistani users actually think: just pick the appliances (4 ceiling fans, 8 LED bulbs, 1 inverter AC 1.5 ton, 1 fridge, 1 WiFi router) and the hours of backup you need, no need to know wattage. We do the math behind the scenes using realistic Pakistani averages (1.5 ton inverter AC = 1800 W, ceiling fan = 75 W, fridge running avg = 150 W, water motor 1 HP = 750 W). Compare Lithium LiFePO4 (Pylontech, Volta, Osaka, Narada, Inverex) vs Tubular (Phoenix TX, AGS SP, Volta) vs flat Lead Acid on capacity (Ah at 12V / 24V / 48V), kWh, approximate installed cost, and 10 year total cost of ownership. Solves the most common Pakistani solar question, will my battery actually run my AC during load shedding.

Solar Battery Backup Calculator Pakistan

How this works: tell us which appliances you want to back up during load shedding (or a full grid outage), how many hours of backup you need, and we will tell you the battery capacity (Ah + kWh) and approximate cost for Pakistani brands. No need to know wattage. We use realistic Pakistani averages (1.5 ton inverter AC = 1800 W, ceiling fan = 75 W, fridge = 150 W average running).

Lithium LiFePO4, top brands in Pakistan:
Pylontech, Volta Lithium, Osaka Lithium, Narada, Inverex Lithium, Soltaro
10 year ownership cost (approximate)
6000 cycles ≈ 16.4 years per battery set. Roughly 1 replacement set over 10 years ≈ Rs 220,800 lifetime cost for this configuration.

Reality check: heavy loads (AC, water motor, geyser, microwave) drain a battery fast. For 4+ hour AC backup on a typical 1.5 ton inverter AC plus 4 fans plus 8 LED bulbs, plan on roughly 10 to 15 kWh of lithium battery (around Rs 10 to 14 lakh installed). If your goal is just fans + lights + TV during 4 hour load shedding, 2 to 3 kWh of lithium (around Rs 2 to 3 lakh) is plenty.

Lithium vs Tubular: lithium is ~2.5x more expensive upfront but lasts 4 to 5x longer and uses 95% of its rated capacity (vs 60% for tubular). On a 10 year horizon, lithium TCO ends up lower for most households. Read our blog "Best Solar Battery Pakistan 2026" for the full comparison.

How to use the Solar Battery Backup Calculator Pakistan

  1. Pick the appliances you want backed up: tap the plus button on fans, lights, fridge, AC, water motor and other items you actually want running on battery.
  2. Set backup hours: how long should the battery last on one full charge (typical: 4 hours for evening load shedding, 6 to 8 hours for full night).
  3. Pick battery type: Lithium LiFePO4 (best lifetime cost, 6000 cycles), Tubular (cheapest upfront, 1500 cycles, water maintenance), or flat Lead Acid (not recommended for daily solar use).
  4. Pick system voltage: 12 V for tiny systems, 24 V for mid range, 48 V for 3 kW+ residential solar (default).
  5. Read off: required battery Ah at your chosen voltage, total kWh, approximate installed cost in PKR, recommended Pakistani brands, and 10 year ownership cost comparison.
