About the Net Metering Calculator Pakistan

Free Pakistani net metering bill calculator built for the post-March 2025 NEPRA regime. Enter your imported units (from the grid), exported units (to the grid from solar), DISCO (LESCO, K-Electric, IESCO, MEPCO, GEPCO, FESCO, HESCO, SEPCO, PESCO, QESCO, TESCO), protected / unprotected slab and current FPA / QTR, the tool computes your import bill using real slab math (100-100-100 progressive slabs, not flat rate), credits exports at the new Rs ~10/unit buyback rate, and shows your net payable plus the savings versus the no-solar reference bill. Built specifically for Pakistani solar customers confused by the March 2025 NEPRA policy change that ended 1:1 net-off and stretched payback periods from 3-4 years to roughly 5-7. Pairs with our Solar System Size Calculator and 5kW Solar System guide.

Post-March 2025 NEPRA decision (important)

Net metering buyback is now pegged to the national average power purchase price (~Rs 10/unit), not to your retail tariff. Older 1:1 net-off calculators are out of date. Payback periods for new systems have stretched from 3-4 years to roughly 5-7 years depending on consumption.

Tariff data effective Q2 2026. Confirm current rates on AEDB net metering policy before signing any contract.

How to use the Net Metering Calculator Pakistan

  1. Pick your DISCO from the dropdown, LESCO, K-Electric, IESCO, MEPCO, GEPCO, FESCO, HESCO, SEPCO, PESCO, QESCO or TESCO are all supported.
  2. Enter imported units (top reading on your green bi-directional meter, what your home pulled FROM the grid).
  3. Enter exported units (bottom reading, what your solar fed TO the grid).
  4. Choose your slab (Protected if you have consistently been under 200 units / month for 6+ months; Unprotected for most homes).
  5. Enter the current month's FPA + QTR (read off your last bill) and your tax filer status, the tool then shows your import bill, export credit at the new Rs ~10/unit buyback rate, net payable, and how much you saved compared with a no-solar bill of the same total consumption.
